Your liver is the hardest working organ in your body, with more than 400 different functions! It is essential for us in neutralizing and removing toxins from our bodies, helping to support thyroid function, and keeping our digestive tract working properly. Your liver really works best on a toxin in, toxin out basis, but with excess stress, pollution, poor eating habits, inadequate sleep and exposure to chemicals in personal hygiene products, the liver has a difficult time keeping up with the demand. This tea is one I drink each morning when I first wake up to give my liver some of the nutrients it needs to perform optimally and it also can assist with some digestive issues like low stomach acid, gas and bloating.
Ingredients
  • juice from ½ large lemon
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp raw honey
  • 1½ cups hot water (about 160 degrees)
Instructions
  1. Prepare ingredients and place in a large mug.
  2. Pour over hot water and stir.
